On June 19th 2009, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Croatia Mr. Bozo Biskupic has awarded Arsen the prestigious Annual Award "Vladimir Nazor" for the best achievements in film in 2008, for directing the film "No One's Son". Among others, the selection committee wrote in their explanation: "The basic directorial approach is dual, seemingly incompatible: on one hand it is authentic, with great deal of truthfulness and persuasiveness, while on the other hand is stylized, emphasizing its tragic dimension…. The social and critical aspects of the film "No One's Son", the argument about its cultural expression, the questions about subjectivity and identity, its esthetic dimension as well as its esthetic results, strongly confirm that this is an extraordinary artistic achievement".
